Easter's over and I've had more than my fair share of chocolate. But now there are only 3 months to go until the 10k so I need to start training in earnest. My limited attempts in the gym so far have been unproductive and even a 3k target seems unreachable. And then, techie geek that i am, I find a way of plotting the course on Google Maps with a 3D fly by. Awesome. Until I see the long, long lanes winding through the Gloucestershire countryside; I even had to speed up the fly-through to believe it isn't going to be that long.
My personal challenge ahead shouldn't be under estimated but I draw comfort from the fact that we now have 4 people running the race and momentum is building for others to run or walk 10k in other parts of the world between July and September as part of the 10k for £10k challenge. I can't be the only one to fail.
